STIR-SHAKEN SETUP — initial Call Authentication implementation

This product is an initial implementation bundle intended for ZICTEC customers who already have ProSBC and need to start authenticating calls across interconnections, according to the applicable Anatel rules and the ABR Telecom operational ecosystem.

Who this bundle is for

• ZICTEC customers who already have ProSBC in operation or implementation.
• Operators that need the initial Call Authentication implementation.
• Scenarios focused on initial setup, testing and technical homologation, without recurring operation.

What is included

• Configuration adjustments on the customer’s existing ProSBC.
• Deployment of ZICTEC proprietary/custom scripts required for the contracted setup.
• Configuration to connect to the call authentication service.
• UAT/homologation environment testing.
• Authentication service homologation and related technical testing.
• Preparation/submission of supporting evidence for the applicable ABR/Neustar flow when applicable.
• PROD tests for initial production activation.

What is not included

• ZICTEC Tools license.
• ZICTEC SaaS, APIs, reports, auditing or assisted operation.
• Additional ProSBC licenses, session expansion, hardware, appliances or infrastructure.
• Recurring operational support or monthly SLA.
• Full trunk, route and production policy configuration outside the initial implementation scope.
• Broad Softswitch, interconnection, DETRAF, regulatory management, STFC operational management or other complementary services.
• Identification/Branded Call/Origem Verificada, including logo, brand, campaigns and campaign backoffice.

Authentication is not Identification

STIR/SHAKEN is the protocol/technology. Authentication means sending calls through authenticated interconnections according to applicable rules. Identification or Branded Call is the commercial layer known in Brazil as Origem Verificada, involving brand/logo display and campaign association.

Identification depends on Authentication, but it is not automatically included in this initial implementation bundle.

Solutions with other vendors

Although this solution is designed and homologated for ProSBC environments, ZICTEC may also be contracted for consulting and implementation-support services for solutions from other vendors. In those cases, scope, timeline, integration, evidence collection and support may be limited by technical restrictions, documentation, APIs, licensing or policies of the vendor used by the customer.

Before purchasing, consult ZICTEC’s commercial department to confirm whether the customer’s environment fits this bundle or requires a specific consulting proposal.

When to consider another package

If the goal is to operate with lower technical effort, receive reports, auditing, recurring support, integrate via ZICTEC APIs/SaaS or prepare Origem Verificada campaigns, contact ZICTEC’s commercial team to evaluate an assisted operation model or a more suitable package.

Commercial and technical validation

Purchasing this product starts the implementation process according to the scope above. Production activation depends on technical validation, environment assumptions, credentials, homologation, change windows and acceptance.
